I remember the sun...

Took a walk on the waterfront a week or so ago when the sun was shining and life wasn't so grey. My sister Val, niece Samantha, Katie and I headed for Penny's Palapa's and ice cream...

Kate's fave? A scoop of bubble gum and a scoop of rainbow sherbet. Ick.

Out on the pier a lady pulled in a huge starfish instead of crabs. I've never seen one so big. She told us never to touch a starfish as they are loaded with salmonella...who knew?

The harbour was full of boats training for the Dragonboat Festival, which was last weekend.

And the little ferry busily went back and forth to Newcastle.

I know this is blurry - but I love the colours.

There have been tons of small sailboats out - left over from the Cutty Sark Snake Island Regatta - I'm guessing.

I love this candy store - candy from all over the world and chandeliers too. One of the few places I can get Necco wafers. They have lots of candy and sprinkle options for the top of your ice cream, too...

It was busy down on the waterfront, walkers, runners, people doing Tai Chi, people walking dogs, and a lady taking her hedgehog for a walk.

It feels like it's fall and I'm remembering summer. Bloody rain.

Lovely to see a blog. No, I don't remember the sun. That is a mighty big starfish!
