My family has challenged me to blog a minimum of twice a week...."something, something, not capturing family memories, you're letting the team down...something"....

So, once again, I'll try to regularly get the camera out, I can barely remember how to use it! Today was a good day to get it out...the weather was ridiculous. Mom was off in Victoria and I called her to come home because it was snowing...always the weather optimist, she said "don't worry, it will clear up". I snarled something at her and hung up mumbling about "irresponsibility"and "dead in the ditch".
We carried on to have breakfast (at Ricki's All Day Grill, no less). After breakfast we headed home to find, a kilometer down the road, sun and no snow. Which clinched the walk at Piper's. You all know about Piper's Lagoon. Garry oaks, arbutus, kingfishers, ferries, all that west coasty stuff. You've seen it before, you'll see it again. Notice the blue sky. I hate it when my mom's right. I hate it when I'm wrong even more!

Have I mentioned my kids are thriving? They are. I went to hug Aidan the other day and suddenly I couldn't rest my chin on the top of his head.
And spring is just around the corner. I took these today outside my house when we got home. Not in the garden, but in the planter outside my door.
About 4 days til you get pictures of the crocuses.

I love it when I'M right and you are wrong!
I am so happy to see your blog again. I missed it.... now we have your promise to keep it up, right?
Cute happy kid pictures!
Oh good for your family! Whatever it takes.
Glad to see you back here. I've not been spending enough time behind the camera either.
I'll be back to check on your progress in a couple of days.
And yes, I hear doves in my back yards every morning.
no crocus on this end of town...or daffies, either...
those are some smiley faces, for sure.
Your urchins are adorable! Glad to see you back.
Looking so very forward to seeing some flowers in these parts!
Hey! I'm glad you surfaced again. Caught a glimpse on Flickr and then your visit to my blog.
Blogs can be a . . . how shall I say it . . . a time suck. I'm letting more time go between posts . . . but after two years, I can't bring myself to call it quits.
I LOVE the photos of the kids. Made me smile too :)
